Connecting Conversations - call for participants

Connecting Conversations - Exploring creativity through conversations between psychoanalysts and creative practitioners

This series has now been running for 7 years and  there are over 40 recorded events on the website www.connectingcoversations.org, which attract a world-wide audience. Interviewees range from visual artists to novelists, from dancers to comedians, from photographers to theatre directors, and have included Grayson Perry, Howard Jacobson,The Ballet Boyz and Jo Brand.

The series is now moving into its next phase with plans for events to take place in  Leeds and Bristol as well as London.  Rowan Arts, who produce the series, will be making an application to Arts Council England for funding for the next phase of development.

We are currently seeking psychoanalysts, therapists and group analysts who are interested in taking part in conversations in London. We want to create a ‘panel’ we can draw upon. Panel members would be asked to do about 1- 3 events every 2 years. They could bring their own ideas for ‘conversation partners’  but would also be encouraged to consider engaging with new and emerging artists and with high profile artists who are visiting from other countries.    Events will take place at Kings Place and London Metropolitan University. You will be paid a fee for the event of around £150.  Panel members will be listed on the Connecting Conversations website.  You will be invited to an annual event where ideas for the series can be discussed.
